Defending PIAA State AA basketball champion Prep Charter faces a stiff challenge from District 3 AAA power Susquehanna Twp. at the Hoffman Ford SPORTSfever Challenge XIV Sunday January 20 at Kutztown University.
Prep Charter has jump started its race to state championships the past two seasons with its Hoffman Ford SPORTSfever Challenge games. The Huskies have the talent to make a serious run at a third straight state title but will have their hands full with a talented Susquehanna Township, which has most of its team intact from its state tournament team in 2007.
Joining Prep Charter and Township are Central Dauphin East, one of the surprise AAAA teams in District 3, and Philadelphia Public League AAAA power Frankford, which will challenge East.
Delone Catholic boys will challenge Communications Tech.
The Delone girls will face Prep Charter girls, who are raising their profile this season as a strong contender for a Public League AAA title.
Additional matchups and actual game times will follow later this week.
Tip off for the first game is at Noon on the 20th. One ticket ($8) is good for all games.
